The Point

“The Point”, as it stands finished, is the fifth highest house in Sweden. It is built with 700 t of SWT composite constructions, beams and columns.

The 110 m high office building is only 60 by 18 meters at the base and tapers to the sky, making it a true high-rise tower construction. Large loads and effects from wind sway action is taken care of via the composite- and in-situ cast construction. No wind braces are present in the entire construction and columns are taking loads in excess of 13 000 kN.

During 2015/2016, SWT also delivered the first tower at 65 m and the low middle part, part of the Quality Hotel View, as seen to the left inthe picture.

Glasvasen

Glasvasen is a central office building in Malmö, at walking distance from the town center. The building stands out, with its flowing shapes, made possible by the SWT beam and columns. Expecially the beams are using large, steel cast forms on the side of the beams, enabling the flowing, extending facade shapes.

SWT was contracted by Jernhusen to design and deliver the composite beams and columns for the project, including the custom façade beams that gives the building its unique shape.
